Applicants must possess instructional skills in reading intervention strategies or other related experience with learning intervention strategies. Elementary education license is preferred.

This position will provide academic intervention and support to general education students with academic skills deficits and/or below grade level performance.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Administers standardized tests in accordance with District testing programs
  • Small group instruction of basic literacy skills to students K-6
  • Documenting student progress/activities/outcomes;
  • Providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
  • Assisting in the coordination of Reading and Math Corps programs, Title I and SNA Literacy plans

We’re looking to hire for Physical Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct students in physical education activity.
  • Plan physical education programs to promote development of student’s physical attributes and social skills.
  • Prepare lesson plans and conduct daily classroom instruction in physical education/health at an appropriate instructional level.
  • Maintaining a healthy learning environment for the students in both the classroom as well as instruction.
  • Monitoring and management of students’ behavior, including appropriate enforcement of student behavior rules.
  • Teach individual and team sports to students, utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and of physical capabilities of students.
  • Organize, lead, instruct, and referee indoor and outdoor games, such as volleyball, baseball, and basketball.
  • Teach and demonstrate proper calisthenics for individuals or groups in both beginning or advanced.
  • Following professional practices consistent with school policies in working with students, students’ records, parents and colleagues.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor in dealings with parents and students.
  • Work with students, parents, and Impact Coaches to resolve student problems.
  • Select, store, order, issue, and inventory equipment, materials, and supplies used in physical education programs.
  • Providing adequate information, plans and materials for substitute teachers.
  • Maintaining accurate, complete and appropriate records and files.
  • Work as a positive and collaborative member of the Athletic Program to foster the primary goals of school and the Athletic Program.
  • May specialize in instructing specific sports, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, or swimming.
  • Incorporate and promote a positive environment for all student athletes that nurtures self-esteem, high values, and life-long learning.
  • Complying with conditions as stated in employee contract and handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

  • The minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A valid Minnesota Teacher’s License
  • Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience.
  • Teaching experience in diverse cultural settings is valued.

We’re looking to hire an Arabic Teacher, K–8 for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Arabic language lessons aligned with school curriculum and applicable academic standards.
  • Teach Arabic reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.
  • Incorporate Arabic culture, history, traditions, and perspectives into classroom instruction when appropriate.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet students’ diverse academic, cultural, linguistic, and learning needs.
  • Use technology, authentic materials, and effective instructional strategies to support Arabic language development.
  • Assess student learning, monitor academic progress, provide meaningful feedback, and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Maintain accurate lesson plans, grades, attendance records, student records, and curriculum documentation.
  • Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations, routines, and procedures that promote positive student behavior and learning.
  • Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, collaboration, responsibility, and appreciation for cultural diversity.
  • Implement school-wide behavior expectations and address student behavior consistently, fairly, and professionally.
  • Provide additional academic support, intervention, and enrichment based on individual student needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, attendance, and academic performance.
  • Collaborate with administrators, classroom teachers, special education teachers, EL teachers, intervention staff, and other support personnel to meet student needs.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development, school events, conferences, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information and follow all applicable school, state, and federal policies.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, cultural responsiveness, teamwork, and commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Comply with conditions as stated in the employee contract and handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Direct Report.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic, Education, World Languages, Linguistics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Minnesota teaching license appropriate for Arabic/World Languages, or eligibility to obtain appropriate licensure.
  • Native or advanced proficiency in Arabic and strong proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of effective world-language instructional practices and language development.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, organization, and technology skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Previous Arabic or world-language teaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with multilingual learners or students from diverse cultural backgrounds is valued.

Employment Logistics:

  • Star of the North Academy elementary students’ school day is from 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday and 9:00am-12:00pm on Friday.
  • Staff must be present from 8:00 am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, or until all duties are completed for the next day.
  • Professional development sessions are held every Friday from 1:00 – 3:00pm
  • All Staff are expected to attend and participate in all family events at the school
