Who We Are?
We are committed to providing opportunities and experiences that will allow our students to be and do their very best, assisting all our students to meet educational goals and begin developing a strong educational foundation and lifelong skills. Star of the North Academy is a tuition free Kindergarten-8th Grade Charter School with a strong track record of academic excellence in a small school setting. We are committed to school-wide integration of social, emotional and academic learning by using the best instructional practices and qualified, passionate teachers in a truly caring, diverse environment.
Our Activities
Our Literacy goal is for students to utilize their literacy skills for reading, writing, speaking and listening throughout their lifetime, and to enrich their opportunities and enhanced contributions to society.
Our family is over 30 inspired and qualified teachers, teaching support staff and school administrators from all nationalities in USA.
The school library is a central point for all kinds of reading, cultural activities, access to information, knowledge building and deep thinking.
Star of the North Academy has been recognized as a “High Quality Charter School” by the Minnesota Department of Education.
Primary
The primary section which is considered the corner stone of the basic education stage, where kids spent up to six years of their educational journey that is drawing their perspective about education and building the base of their character

Here’s what’s happening at SNA…
National Junior Honor Society
This SY 21-22 Star of the North inducted 15 students into the SNA chapter of the NJHS. Our 5th- 8th grade members are shining examples of the shared values of: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character and Citizenship. These young scholars represent our school well and will do amazing things with their lives!
Star of the North Academy recognized as a “High Quality” Charter School!
Star of the North Academy has been recognized as a “High Quality Charter School” by the Minnesota Department of Education. Only 22 out of 168 charter schools in Minnesota received this recognition. Meeting the qualifications of this designation allows us to apply for additional funding to “Expand or Replicate” Star of the North Academy to meet the needs of more families in our community. We are so proud of all the hard work our students, Families and Teachers have done to make our school great!
